Villa La Foresta

There is my spiritual scriptures for the week! They are in Spanish because well I have a Spanish Book of Mormon and so I might as well use it! :) I am doing so great! I am working hard and hardly working as my dad says. Haha! I am learning so much and progressing I can feel in myself that I am growing up as a person and growing spiritually. The church is true!

We had transfers this weekend and let me tell you I have had transfers. I am now in Villa de las Forestas. With my new companion, her name is Hermana Martinez and is of Colombia. I hope that we are going to be a great companionship and that we will learn lots from eachother. My mom of the mission has gone home to Honduras. She has completed her mission. She is such a great example to me. Hermana Flores will forever be my trainer. I will always remember my first three months in the mission with her! :) Hermana Buiza too is going home to her country, to Peru. She was such a great example to me as well! I learned so much with her too! :) Something that I learned with my first two companions is that all good things have to come to an end. It is really sad but really happy at the same time.

Nataly was progressing so much and she is going to be baptized during this transfer. She wasn't baptized when I was in Los Heroes, but she is so close. Soooo close! We just need to exercise more faith as a mission!

Presidente has said that we can do anything we put our minds to if we have the faith of Ammon, of Alma, of Amulek. Which brings me to something that I would like to share. Yesterday when Presidente and Hermana Barrieros were leaving the chapel after the go-homers were done saying goodbye a little boy came up to Presidente and asked him, You are the President of the missinaries? And Presidente responded, Yes, I am. And the boy asked how can I become like you? And Presidente responded go to primary, be obedient to your parents. And so I would just like to say keep praying, reading the scriptures and going to church, and being obedient we can do anything with the Lord!

I love you all,

Hermana Durfee

Comida, Comida, y Mas Comida

Hey everyone!

It is always such a race with the time that I have to email, but it is all good. When I opened up my inbox it was super lleno de cartas. Super full of letters. It was a wonderful surprise. :) Especially to hear from people that I have not heard from in a while and to hear from my mom and dad! I was going to send some pictures, but something happened with this silly machine. Sometimes technology and I don't get a long... But hey beggers can't be choosers.

That's enough about the computer. Let me tell you about a miracle! Yesterday, Hermana Buiza and I had an amazing thing happen in our ward! The asistencia was 102!! Usually in our ward the asistence is like 50 people. But yeah yesterday was a great day! And Nataly came to church with her dad and brother! It was so cool to have an experience like this! I just so full of gratitude right now. With the miracles that are occuring here in Los Heroes and with all the letters that I received. I just feel loved. Haha!! :)

I feel cheesey because sometimes when I am at the computer emailing yall I have tears running down my cheeks because I feel your support and desire for this amazing work we call missionary work.

My companion is pretty amazing if I do say so myself. I am learning so much from her. And she has so many great ideas that I know I will apply during the rest of my mission.

Something that I have noticed though is that the time just goes. It doesn't stop. This is why it is important to be wise with it. I have to go!

Con mucho amor,

Hermana Durfee. :)))
